I'm not much of a shopper, for several reasons, including down-sizing. But if I have the opportunity to eat out, I always choose a local "Mom and Pop" and it's always much better!
So on topic! Five independent sewing/craft/fabric businesses have closed down in the past year in a 2.5 hour radius of me. And you are right about the knock-on effect - I wholesaled to some of them and felt the pain too. Phoebe Taylor is spot on: more than ever, businesses need to show support to other businesses.
Yes yes YES! I feel such reciprocity and community with my fellow artist when they share my work. We are not islands and we CANNOT go alone. I think you are a stunning example of exactly that. Thanks for seeing me Justice 🫶 I love witnessing you right back
